Principal Electrical Engineer
Jason Whelan has been working as an Electrical Engineer in control system automation since graduating from university in 1995 and has had vast experience from shift support, site team leader to technical lead on large scale projects. Jason’s technical experience ranges from general hands on technical support through to advanced PLC and automation control along with engineering design, implementation and final commissioning including support.
During Jason’s experience as an Electrical Engineer of over 20 years’, he has gained experience developing automation solutions for a wide variety of industries. Over his career he has gained exposure to Unity programming, Citect, Vijeo Designer, PL7-Pro, Concept, ProWORX, Symax and Siemens S5/S7 PLCs to name just a few. He has excellent knowledge in electrical troubleshooting ranging from component level up to medium voltage devices such as AC drives and motors.
Jason has worked in many large corporate companies in his career including BHP, Electrolux, Serck Controls and Schneider Electric. Exposure to all these different industries has provided exposure to many different industries at a highly technical level, this has given Jason a great depth of experience to draw on across many aspects of his career.
